It's been a while since I did anything very much with this site.

I should use it more. I've been saying this for years, because I'm getting more and more fed up with the way that communication systems are becoming centralised and siloed, against the best interests of the people who want to use them.

The technical details of the way forward are far from clear to me at this point; perhaps I'll write more about that soon. One thing that is clear, though, is that we should try to carve out spaces of our own, rather than relying more and more on the benevolence of the large centralised systems.

So I'm going to take a more blog-like approach to this site, and hopefully this will encourage me to write more, too.
